Standard (Mechanism 0)

Backrest fully adjustable for height and angle

Synchronous (Mechanism 1)

Synchronous movement enables the seat and backrest angle to be adjusted independently of each of each other with the ability to lock both in a fixed position - will not freefloat. Backrest can be independently adjusted for height.

Permanent Contact

Backrest angle adjustable by permanent contact mechanism which can either moved freely with the user or can be looked in any position. Tension control adjusts chair to users weight Backrest can be independently adjusted for height.

Synchronised

Fully synchronised mechanism enables seat and backrest angle to be adjusted to required position. Fixed ration of 2:1 ensures correct ergonomic posture. Can be locked in position or freefloating. Tension control adjusts chair to users weight. Backrest can be independently adjusted for height.

Senator seating is made and designed to the highest standards and conforms to all the relevant European standards. Products comply with the EC directive 90/270//EC for VDU workstations where appropriate. Many of the products have been independently tested to level S (Severe) BS5459 Part 2, 1990 - performance requirements are tested for adjustable chairs. Upholstery Coverings

A vast array of differing upholstery coverings and colours are available. Providing the material is suitable for upholstery purposes Senator are happy to use any material and will quote a realistic price based on the cost of the fabric and its suitability for upholstery. If you prefer to supply the fabric then Senator will normally use Class 1 price.

Seating Mechanisms

Senator offer a wide choice of chair mechanisms to provide a full range of adjustments to suit particular tasks and individual needs. All mechanisms are of the finest quality and have only been selected after thousands of hours of continuous testing in Senators in-house testing facility. The relevant chairs within this range have also been independently tested to level S (Severe) - full certification is available. All swivel chairs are fitted with top quality pneumatic gas height adjustments as standard which are class 4 compliant, thereby ensuring all swivel models can facilitate a weight of up to 150kg (23.6 stone approx.) for normal use.
